Nightingale Housing is a not-for-profit organisation that build socially, financially and environmentally sustainable apartments. Nightingale Ballarat was the first regional Nightingale project with H.Troon completing construction in 2022. This is the story behind the build.
H.Troon Pty Ltd is a 150+ year-old family-run company consistently turning over $180 million of construction work annually. A reputation naturally precedes a company of this magnitude but these assumptions are often unreliable, so we determined to find out for ourselves the H.Troon methodology and approach as it applied to the Nightingale Ballarat project.
Our research identified that Nightingale projects are complex and challenging builds due to strict community, sustainability and affordability guidelines that need to be adhered to. Details like this were key to the story so we arranged for a sit down interview with Managing Director of Nightingale, Jeremy McLeod to reveal key project insights.

Testimonial style videos can be powerful if done right. They can also be awful. The key is authenticity and clarity of message (and having the right person talking to camera).
With this in mind, we identified three main themes to focus on during an interview to camera:
• overall quality of construction
• attention to detail relating to the specifics of the build
• working relationship with H.Troon
We then asked simple, open-ended questions and got out of the way.
The interview responses from Jeremy were succinct and informative, giving us what we needed to create an authentic, engaging and positive narrative.
The responses revealed H.Troon to be a construction company that places a high value on productive working relationships and delivering successful outcomes that exceed expectations. A company who showed a deep level of care towards the project and had an incredible ability to find solutions to problems at every turn.
